About the Authors

Casey Brewer graduated with a degree in Business Management from Texas Tech University and served on the pastoral staff of a local church for five years prior to coming to Betenbough Homes in 2006. After six years as the Business Manager, Casey transitioned into full-time missions and leadership training with Prepare International where he served and trained leaders in over 10 nations of Europe and Latin America from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, Casey re-joined the company and is the Marketplace Connections Manager for Cornerstone Business Holdings, where he continues his Kingdom training. He is a graduate of the National Institute of Christian Leadership, and is also a Certified Human Behavior Consultant®. He and his wife, Dana, and have three children, Harleigh, Ellyson, and Jack.

Cal Zant started his career as a software developer after graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in computer science. He was hired by Betenbough Homes in 2006, and was promoted to IT Manager the following year. In 2012, Cal became Chief Information Officer, and was additionally charged with leading the ministry team. During that time, Cal became much more involved in the strategic planning and operations of the company as a whole and in March 2016 he became President of Betenbough Homes. Cal admires employees’ passions and their hearts, and believes the people he interacts with are the most missional people who bring everything they have each day to serve others. Cal, his wife, Davida, and two daughters, Joey and Hattie attend Hillside Christian Church.

Holly Betenbough served as Ministry Director for Betenbough Homes for 12 years after having previously volunteered on the ministry team for 6 years.  In 2016, she joined the Cornerstone Business Holdings Board of Directors, where she focuses on researching, investing and enhancing marketplace ministry outreach and development. Holly loves being with her family, walking outdoors, and learning new things about God. An alumna of Texas Tech University, she holds a bachelor of science in child development and family studies.  Holly and her husband, Rick, are proud parents of James and Shannon.

Jon Jackson served as an active Board member and President of Cornerstone Business Holdings until late in 2017. He and his wife Amanda were raised in Lubbock, TX, and he graduated from Texas Tech University in 2000, receiving a B.B.A. in finance with an emphasis in real estate. His prior work experience as a residential framer landed him a job with Betenbough Homes as a slab and framing construction inspector in July 2000. While he loved his time in production, his finance education eventually led him from the field to the office, and in August 2002, Jon was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Jon and Amanda have been married since 1998, and stay busy raising three children – Cambrey, Connor and Eva.

Kaylah Barnes is a graduate of Texas Tech in interior design. She is married to the love of her life, Obadiah, and through their years of marriage they have wholeheartedly served Christ in several ministries – including youth ministry at Rock City Church, and Embrace Grace. She began working at Betenbough Homes in 2010 on the warranty team, then joined the ministry team in 2013. She now serves as the Ministry Events Coordinator for Cornerstone Business Holdings and plans all of the internal events, company meetings, and vision trips. This position is a perfect fit for Kaylah who loves to sing, shop, plan parties, decorate, and encourage others in their gift sets. She also is the mother of five awesome children – Danielle, Uriah, Azariah, Benaiah, and Hadassah.

Rick Betenbough.  As the co-founder of Betenbough Homes in 1992, Rick’s vision was to use fanatical cost control and “out-of-the-box” organizational systems to become the price leader for new brick homes in Lubbock, TX. He has matured a management and production system that combines quality and cost control through disciplined planning, negotiating and supervising. For 24 years, Rick served as President of Betenbough Homes, having built nearly 7,000 homes for West Texas families. Early in 2016, he felt led to step aside from that role, allowing new leadership to continue to grow and lead the company and its employees. Rick now serves as CEO of Cornerstone Business Holdings, the parent company of Betenbough Homes, where he pursues his passion for the advancement of God’s Kingdom in and through the marketplace. Rick has a passion to mentor other kingdom-minded leaders and entrepreneurs, and walks his daily journey beside his loving wife, and childhood sweetheart, Holly. Together they have raised two children – James and Shannon.

Tiffany Berry graduated from Texas Tech in 2001 with a degree in public relations. The following year she married her husband, Chris, and together they have two beautiful girls – Kira and London. Tiffany has worked on the ministry team at Betenbough Homes since May 2005. She and Holly Betenbough were the original ministry team, and now Tiffany serves as Chief Ministry Officer of Cornerstone Business Holdings, and manages one of the largest teams that is continually growing. Both at work and with friends, Tiffany strives to create an atmosphere of growth and authenticity for others to experience the love of Christ. In her spare time, she loves to explore the great outdoors, travel, play guitar, and fellowship at Live Oak Community Church.
