FOCUS OF THE SITE
We realize we won’t have a chance to sit down with everyone, so we’ve committed to share that same information and resources through KingdomAtWork.com. We compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions, and we’re going to do our best to speak to those. Sometimes our answer might simply be “We don’t know.” While there may be a few universal truths, there doesn’t seem to be a one-size-fits-all formula to how to do this effectively in every scenario. That shouldn’t surprise us, because there are similar examples of this in the Bible. For example, the gospels describe three accounts where Jesus healed a blind man, and He did it differently for each case (Mark 8, Luke 18, and John 9). Likewise, one powerful aspect of short-term missions is the chance to see how God is pursuing people on other continents with the same passion, but His approach is often personalized to fit the culture.
The truth is how this works most effectively in your business will look different than it does for ours. In fact, we have a few branch offices in cities across West Texas, and we’ve found some things work well in one city, but feel forced in others. We try to stay flexible by adapting the approach within our company, and we’d encourage you to do the same.
Our primary audience is business leaders looking to integrate their faith into business. Our intent is for the content to be more inspirational than informational, but we still want to provide some concrete examples to help you get started. As we talk through topics, we hope this becomes a place for discussion where readers can share ideas or ask questions through comments. And finally, we hope you subscribe to new posts via email so the content can provide a regular cadence of encouragement and fresh ideas to help us be focused and motivated to pursue Kingdom purpose in business.
