Kingdom At Work
God desires to partner with you—not only in the big decisions but in every moment. When we align ourselves with His purpose, we open the door to breakthroughs that far exceed what we can achieve on our own. In today’s blog, we share insights from our late founder and CEO, Rick Betenbough, on the Operational Heart of God.
1. Engage with God in the Small Moments
God cares about the everyday, practical aspects of our lives. What’s important to you is important to Him. How often do you face decisions or challenges that hinder progress? In business, the opportunity to seek God is constant. He is practical and ready to guide us with wisdom and clarity. The key is this: ASK, BELIEVE, WATCH.
2. Adopt a Posture of Grace
In business, the world often tells us to push harder, compete more, and fight for success. But in God’s Kingdom, we are called to take a different approach. Grace is the posture God invites us to adopt. Instead of demanding more, we are called to receive and extend grace. Watch how God moves powerfully when we choose grace in our actions, both in our work and in our relationships.
3. Work with God, Not Just For Him
As Kingdom leaders, we must be willing to continually renew our minds (Matthew 4:17). A key mindset shift is to move from working for God to working with God. When we align our actions with His will, we experience provision and purpose in ways that transcend what we can achieve on our own. Take time to reflect on areas of your business and life – where have you not invited God to reign. It’s there God wants to release transformation.
4. Overcome Obstacles
Awareness is critical in overcoming obstacles that the enemy tries to disguise as “normal.” Disunity, unforgiveness, and failing to walk in our God-given authority create barriers that prevent us from experiencing the fullness of God’s Kingdom.
- Rick often reminded us of the power of unity by referencing Psalm 133:1: “How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity.” Where there is unity, God commands a blessing. Discord in the workplace hinders God’s blessings—unity is essential for breakthrough.
- Unforgiveness is another key obstacle. Rick lived by the principle, “Forgive and forget completely.” Letting go of past hurts is not only an act of obedience but one that reflects the heart of God, who forgives us completely through Jesus. Romans 6:14 reminds us that no sin is held against us—so what right do we have to hold it against others?
- Lastly, walking in our God-given authority is essential. When we receive Jesus as Lord, we are given His authority. This authority is immediate and complete (Luke 10:19). Stand firm in this authority and take dominion over the obstacles and challenges that arise, trusting in God’s promises for you.
Conclusion: Partnering with God for Breakthrough
These Kingdom principles remind us that we are not working alone. God invites us to partner with Him in every aspect of our lives—small decisions to major business moves. By adopting a posture of grace, seeking unity, walking in forgiveness, and embracing our authority, we open the door to breakthroughs and Kingdom impact. Remember: “We are working with God, not just for Him.” As you apply these principles, trust that God will lead you to the purpose and breakthroughs He has planned for you.
