Kingdom At Work

It’s a gift from the Lord to be called to work in the marketplace and be passionate about it! The question is: How do we yield that calling fully for the Kingdom?

Start with an invitation!

Invite God to use your work for His purposes and fulfill your spiritual calling.

Have you asked God to use your work for His purposes? You can absolutely be a minister of God right where you’re at: here in the marketplace! A spiritual connection takes place when we invite Him into our lives in a deeper way and give Him our “yes.”

You’ve likely heard us reference this word before, but if you haven’t, allow us to introduce you to the Hebrew word, “Avodah.”

“Avodah” simultaneously means work, worship, and service. So, whatever it is – our work, our worship, or our service – if led by the Holy Spirit, is honoring to God. He is pleased with what He has created and sees these things as one!

If you’ve been struggling with choosing between service or ministry or marketplace or missions, stop now! The concept of “Avodah” should help set you free. God sees them as one, so you don’t have to separate your callings!

So when it relates to our spiritual calling, our faith should inform the decisions we are making, the service we provide, and how we develop the people under our leadership. How you care for and develop the people you lead is an act of worship to our King because He wants them to find their calling, too!

The Theology of Work: The platform of business can become a primary place where our faith becomes action.

Live out your faith fully in the marketplace. Right where you’re at. As we invite Jesus into our leadership, our faith becomes actionable! He’ll give you a glimpse of what He wants to do in the lives of those you lead.

He wants your work and His glory to shine bright in the marketplace as you stand in your calling. It’s exciting, isn’t it?

As you consider your spiritual calling, take some time and ask yourself the following questions:

  1. How can the Lord use you in an impactful way?
  2. What is one thing you can do differently starting today?

Chances are, He’s going to begin speaking to you. Will you listen?
