Kingdom At Work

We all want the Kingdom of God to be accessible, don’t we? We want the way of Jesus to meet our day to day… to come into our finance meetings, our negotiations with suppliers, and even the way we respond to emails.
But does God truly care about the small decisions as well as the big ones? When it really comes down to it, is God truly operational in nature?
Recently, our sister company Betenbough Homes was struggling with a partner who had committed to purchasing a number of homes from us. However, with interest rates as high as they were, he was taking longer than was agreed. Our team was growing weary, so they stopped to ask God how they should handle the situation. The Lord made it clear to our CEO, Rick Betenbough, that he needed to extend grace. Soon after, the man who was investing in our homes returned with some creative ideas on how he could get the ball rolling and finalize the deal.
In a situation like this, the world will tell you to push harder or speak more aggressively to achieve your desired outcome. But what God revealed to our team in this scenario was that behind the business deal was a man who needed the grace of Jesus extended to him. God wanted the business deal to work out, but more than that, He wanted that man’s heart.
When faced with an operational decision today, try this.
- Ask the Lord about it and stop to listen.
- Believe that He will answer you.
- Watch for him to answer you throughout the day.
